Once Again Unemployed Means More Productivity

Hello Hookers!

Been gone for a while I know, so sorry about that.

I have been busy for sure as of late, learning two new afghan patterns and cranking them out like MAD!

Check it out:

This first one is called the Lazy Waves blankets, I made the rainbow one for myself an had a friend request the second one in Spring Colors for her daughter, took some back and forth but we settled on some amazing color choices!  The picture does not do it justice, they are awesome!

This second one is a popular pattern with the crochet facebook groups, its called a Virus Blanket and its the 1st time I've tried making one and I have to say I do love the pattern, looks very lacey!

These two awesome patterns are just gorgeous and I am soo in love with both of them!

On top of these two I've also made some new Loveys!

Pattern for House Elf link in Image, Courtesy of Priscilla Aldama on Ravelry, blanket is a simple square

Aren't they adorable?!?!? The top one is perfect for our area, being on the coast a Sea Turtle is optimum! I love him!  The second one on the bottom was made using the House Elf pattern I use a lot and adding the head, arms, ears, etc. to the Lovey blanket, he's soo cute!

I am excited with the outcome of these items!

New Items for the Shop

Good Tuesday Afternoon Hookers!

Whew life has been busy for sure lately - been producing new stuff for my display at Impact Nutrition on a weekly basis trying to make sure there's enough summer items on display.

So in the last week I've worked on two items to add to the display

A new baby Elephant

I have made this pattern before, but this time I opted for a smaller hook and she stands all of 8" tall!

Pattern is from AmigurumiBB

And then I decided to make a market bag after some suggestions from the wonderful ladies of RepeatCrafterMe - this time I added a button closure and a lining! Super happy with the results

No real pattern used here, just sort of went with it!

Anyhew, that's what I've been up to lately - how about ya'll?

The Sun & Moon Aren't Just in the Sky

Hello Hooker!

Happy Hump Day!

Been very busy around here lately- getting some new stuff into my retail display as the weather is warming and its time to switch from Cold weather items to Warm weather items and some items for the kids that venture into the shop with their parents.

So I've started small with some Lovey's for the babies!

I did this one without much guidance and just some inspiration - a Sun Lovey!

Pattern for Sun borrowed from Jess Mason, link to pattern in Image

So then I was getting inspired to do another lovey - this time a Moon Lovey!

Finished it today!

Pattern Borrowed from LA is my Beat, Pattern Link in Image

For both the square (blanket) itself is just a simple Granny Square, and the other components are borrowed patterns from other sites.  I am very pleased with both of them!

During all of this I also bought myself a nice Polymer Clay handled hook from Julia Hosack - she makes them 100% Custom and I Love my Hook!

A Busy Time of Year For Sure

Hello Crocheters!

Not much to share, but I know it's been ages since I've stopped by to say Hello!

Since my last post I've gotten a new job that has me working 50 hours a week, whew, which leaves very little time after hours to do some crocheting!

I will say though that hasn't deterred orders - I've finished a bag of goodies to send to Sea Trail Grandma's (hats, blankets & two stuffies) and have taken and completed two House Elf Orders from my Etsy Shop!  And nevermind the never ending list of items I volunteered to make

 - Hats for the Holiday Parade for my Girl Scout Troop - there were 20 of those
 - Christmas gifts including two afghans, one is 80% done the other is only 20% started...ugh

So its been very busy but I've enjoyed every second of it, just trying to stay awake long enough at night to get some hook work done :D

If I don't get back here before Christmas, I hope everyone enjoys their holiday!

Christmas C2C is Almost Finished and I just HAD to make Another Basket!!!

Oh my Gosh I am SOO Super Excited Crocheters!

I finished the final block in the Christmas C2C on the RepeatCrafterMe Facebook Group! I just now have to do the banners and assemble it all together using this really pretty Christmasy Veragated Yarn my hubby picked out!

Check it out!

Super Super Excited about these! I just LOVE them!

Now here's the entire thing in pre-assembly getting the layout together

What do you guys think?

So in between working on these lovelies, I also managed to make another basket! This time all one color!  And slightly bigger than the other one!

So now on my hook I have a scarf in Lattice pattern I'm working on for myself to match a hat I made last week!

Here are the patterns!

So then I went looking for a Scarf Pattern that would offset this beautiful hat (which I wear ALL the time) and found this lovely pattern! Super Simple too!

Love Making Stuffies! (aka Amigurumi)

Good Tuesday Evening Crocheters!

Took a brief break yesterday from making the Christmas and Halloween Squares to focus some time on a different project - a new pattern for a Stuffed Puppy!

I went digging through my favorite place, Pinterest and found this easy peasy pattern for a Little Puppy on the Instructables Website (click link for pattern) and got to work!

Check him out! My daughter has claimed him, but I am trying to get a gauge on whether he'd sell in my shop before I add him as an option

What do you guys think? I love him, he's roughly 10" long and at his highest height he's about 6" (tail)

Getting Ready for Halloween!

Happy Monday Crocheters!

So I was wandering through Hobby Lobby the other day and three skeins of yarn just jumped into my arms - yeah that's it - they jumped into my arms - a orange, a white and a black! I decided I wanted to make something for the house for Halloween.  And while working on a Striped C2C square my son started asking me about whether or not I was planning on doing a picture like the heart I did the other day - told him I wanted to but was having a hard time finding something I liked, and he jumped at the chance to try his hand at it.

Now he's very artistic, can draw just about anything he puts his mind to - well he did a Google search for Pixelated Kittie's, found one he liked and adapted it to be a Ghost for Halloween.  Here's what he drew me:

So I got started on the project and he looked at it and decided to make some tweaks, and came up with this

You can see where he's separated the tail and paws at the bottom.

So I got to work and here's what I came up with

I am VERY happy with the end result as is he!

What are you all working on for Halloween?!
