Once Again Unemployed Means More Productivity

Hello Hookers!

Been gone for a while I know, so sorry about that.

I have been busy for sure as of late, learning two new afghan patterns and cranking them out like MAD!

Check it out:

This first one is called the Lazy Waves blankets, I made the rainbow one for myself an had a friend request the second one in Spring Colors for her daughter, took some back and forth but we settled on some amazing color choices!  The picture does not do it justice, they are awesome!

This second one is a popular pattern with the crochet facebook groups, its called a Virus Blanket and its the 1st time I've tried making one and I have to say I do love the pattern, looks very lacey!

These two awesome patterns are just gorgeous and I am soo in love with both of them!

On top of these two I've also made some new Loveys!

Pattern for House Elf link in Image, Courtesy of Priscilla Aldama on Ravelry, blanket is a simple square

Aren't they adorable?!?!? The top one is perfect for our area, being on the coast a Sea Turtle is optimum! I love him!  The second one on the bottom was made using the House Elf pattern I use a lot and adding the head, arms, ears, etc. to the Lovey blanket, he's soo cute!

I am excited with the outcome of these items!

New Items for the Shop

Good Tuesday Afternoon Hookers!

Whew life has been busy for sure lately - been producing new stuff for my display at Impact Nutrition on a weekly basis trying to make sure there's enough summer items on display.

So in the last week I've worked on two items to add to the display

A new baby Elephant

I have made this pattern before, but this time I opted for a smaller hook and she stands all of 8" tall!

Pattern is from AmigurumiBB

And then I decided to make a market bag after some suggestions from the wonderful ladies of RepeatCrafterMe - this time I added a button closure and a lining! Super happy with the results

No real pattern used here, just sort of went with it!

Anyhew, that's what I've been up to lately - how about ya'll?

The Sun & Moon Aren't Just in the Sky

Hello Hooker!

Happy Hump Day!

Been very busy around here lately- getting some new stuff into my retail display as the weather is warming and its time to switch from Cold weather items to Warm weather items and some items for the kids that venture into the shop with their parents.

So I've started small with some Lovey's for the babies!

I did this one without much guidance and just some inspiration - a Sun Lovey!

Pattern for Sun borrowed from Jess Mason, link to pattern in Image

So then I was getting inspired to do another lovey - this time a Moon Lovey!

Finished it today!

Pattern Borrowed from LA is my Beat, Pattern Link in Image

For both the square (blanket) itself is just a simple Granny Square, and the other components are borrowed patterns from other sites.  I am very pleased with both of them!

During all of this I also bought myself a nice Polymer Clay handled hook from Julia Hosack - she makes them 100% Custom and I Love my Hook!

Thanks All! Lovely Day Hooking!

What's News These Days!

WoW been a While since I've popped in to say Hello!

Things have certainly been busy, but with no real movement in the productivity department.  I am currently working on three different afghans and they are moving slowly

1.  My temp afghan, we're 60+ days into 2016 and my afghan is HUGE already! Thinking I am going to split it at the end of June so one child gets the first 1/2 of the year and the other gets the other 1/2.

2.  My daughter's Girl Scout afghan is still moving along, getting close to the decrease portion of it so I can finish it off and get the border on it, then I'm going to try and put a fleece backing on it.

3. The Harry Potter CAL - still stuck on the crest, I've put it down because I want to finish Ashley's blanket first.

And in the middle of all of this I've produced a Sock Monkey hat and several other Dobby's - check them out!

Made this guy for my Nephew's 1st Birthday!

I just Love making these House Elves! Aren't they cute?!?

So that's what's new with me!

So Much Going on Right Now - Hats, Dobby's and "Pattern Writing!

Good Afternoon Hookers!

So sometime ago I took on the task of writing my 1st Hat Pattern, made a gorgeous slightly slouchy beanie for women and while it hasn't sold a copy yet, I am pleased with it!

Any yes while my Etsy shop is on "Vacation" while I am healing from some burns from my hands, this pattern is still available on Ravelry!  Click here to get your Own Copy!

So then when my shop took a nosedive, a friend offered a giveaway to boost clicks - so I opted for a giveaway for my famous Dobby Doll! Sadly I only got two entries, and ended up just making two Dobby Dolls...BUT both recipients will be very happy!

Pattern Available on Ravelry - Click Image to Get Your Own Copy

So then I also figured out that the slouchy hats weren't working under my hard hat at work, so I threw this awesome beanie together to help keep my head warm!

Got some amazing testers to help me out and it's now ready to be published to Ravelry and my Etsy shop when it re-opens!  I am thrilled with it!

Then today I got bored with my normal afghan projects and made another hat that I may write up the pattern for, it's a little more complex so I am not sure I will.   But it's cute and I Love it!

It's a kids beanie, and I just LOVE it, as does my daughter, she hasn't taken it off since I had her take these pictures.

Still need to finish the Harry Potter Crest and my Girl Scout Logo afghan's, but I sometimes need something easier to make!

So what's on your Hook Today!?!

My 2016 Project Wish List

Good Monday Afternoon Hookers!

How is everyone's project list rolling?  I still have a LOT to get done, let's see

1. The Harry Potter Crochet-A-Long, yeah still working on the crest.
2. The Girl Scout Logo Blanket I posted last week - no more progress has been made on that.
3. Another Braided Cowl to get over to the Retail Location, have one made, want to make one more.
4. A Dobby the House Elf, need three of these - one is an Etsy Order, one will be for the giveaway I am running on my Facebook Page (click here to enter) and then another one in case I get another order.
5.  Finish compiling notes from the testers for my recent hat pattern - here's a photo of the finished product, I've had 8 others send me their final projects and I am pleased with the results I'm seeing!

Whew TONS going on!

So then why do I have a Wish list of things I'd like to do that's a million miles long?

Like one of these bad boys, a Hexagon Granny Square Afghan

Then there's a secondary graph pattern that I'd like to try - instead of doing the Corner-to-Corner pattern I am used to doing, you instead make a small square for every block in the graph and assemble them into the picture, I think that would be really cool, I am calling it Crochet Quilting

Image Courtesy of CraftGossip - Link to Pattern in Picture

But then I have this innate desire to make something super cute for my nephew's 1st Birthday - he got a lot of Sock Monkey stuff for Christmas, so thinking about going a Sock Monkey Hat...

Image Courtesy of Repeat Crafter Me - Link to Pattern in Picture

So those are some of the main projects I have a burning desire to do! Not entirely sure why, just do!

But I think the main goal is to just up the sales on my shop and find more ways to make a little pocket money doing what I Love!

I think that's all for today!

I am hoping to have my next hat pattern published by the end of the Week! I am thrilled with it and the testers have given me a LOT of really positive feedback!

Happy Hooking One and All!

Just Because it's Girl Scout Cookie Season Doesn't Mean it's All About the Cookies!

Good Friday Morning Crocheters!

Yup you read that right, Girl Scout Cookie Season is underway! However, we're Girl Scouts year round, and in honor of that I started last fall a project for my daughter who is a Scout, she's a 2nd Year Junior and just an amazing young lady!

Here's the Project in Progress right now

So I shared this on the Girl Scout Gabber Group on Facebook and the Mom's there asked for the graph.  Well it was lost when my computer crashed last fall, so I had to start over, and today I finished it!

I adjusted the pattern so it's bigger and will make a full-size afghan vs. the lapghan/wall hanging size you see here.

So for those Crocheting GS Moms/Dads and others who know a Scout, here's a link to the PDF Pattern

It's formatted for 11 x 17, sure it can be reformatted to print smaller
**due to the nature of the copyright logo we all know we cannot sell the pattern or products produced with the pattern**

Enjoy and I'd love to see your Finished Projects!

Trying Something "Trendy"

Happy Sunday Crocheters!

Hope all of you in the Northeast buried under the snow are doing well and digging out safely. Here in NC it's cold but clear, we had some flurries yesterday but nothing overly special to write home about.

Anyhew, last night I decided to take a break from the two afghans I'm working on the try my hand at something that is trending on the crochet boards right ow, a Double Layer Crochet Cowl.  Here's the Sample from the bloggers page

This is NOT my Picture, Photo Courtesy of My Hobby is Crochet
So this morning I finished my version of the lovely cowl - the link to the Pattern is Here

Isn't it Pretty?!?!?

Slightly Slouchy Beanie Pattern

Good Morning Hookers!

Well I've crossed to the Dark Side - I have now expanded into Writing Patterns...Yup you saw that right - I have written and tested my 1st Pattern and it's now available for Sale!

I designed this off the cuff one night and got such an Amazing Response from the girls on the Repeat Crafter Me Facebook Group, I decided to write it down.

Got some A-MAZING testers to test it out for me - they also gave me some additional notes for the pattern and it's now been published!

You can get your copy from my Etsy Shop and Ravelry.

2016 Is Already Starting Off on a Busy Foot!

Hello Crocheters!

Happy New Year! Hope Everyone's had an Awesome Holiday Season! We sure did and all of the Christmas Gifts I made were a huge Success! My favorite though was my Brother's Redskin's Corner-2-Corner I made him.  Check it out!

He loved it and he's hard to Impress!

I also got a TON of new hooks for Christmas and a Wonderful Bag from my Secret Santa on the Heather's Hotshots Elfster Exchange

So now I have all of the New Tools - I am embarking on several new projects - the 1st being a Temperature Afghan, here's a Sample from Pinterest

Sample/Pattern Courtesy of Rastercap Crochet

So I decided to do Granny squares for each day of the year, taking the Temps at 6am - Noon - 6pm with the rows tying in with the colors

Super Excited About it!!!!

So on top of this I am also embarking on another Crochet-A-Long from Two Hearts Crochet, a Harry Potter One - This One might just be my sister's Christmas Present, 1st Square one the Hogwarts Crest.

I can't wait to get started...have some shopping to do 1st Though...

Otherwise - Another Baby Blanket for the Sea Trail Grandma's!

So What's on Your Hook?!
